FRIGHT NIGHT II

William Ragsdale less of a babe, no character as good as Evil Ed, sexy temptress vampire not interesting; basically, less compelling overall. I found myself really missing Chris Sarandon’s mugging (and he was kind of a babe, too). The movie was just trying to harvest the residual coolness from Fright Night, which it kind of did—it was fun to watch, but nothing in it had any kind of concentrated greatness. It’s like when you’re running out of liquid soup and you can’t get anymore so you just keep adding water too it and what you end up with are these small, pathetic bubbles not worthy to be called suds, not strong enough to become any kind of real lather. Still, it’s worth one or two hand washes, especially since you don’t really wash your hands anyway.
